FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What’s a Bidet?

How do I install the bidet attachment?

Great question.

Your bidet comes with a detailed instruction manual—or you can watch this video and become an expert in less than 10 minutes.

How much is Hapbidets and which model should I choose?

Our Spray and Spark attachments are designed to fit most budgets.

Spray provides a refreshing room‑temperature rinse, while Spark mixes your cold and warm water lines so you can adjust the temperature to your liking.

Both models come with either a Twist control knob (a minimalist round knob) or a Dial (an ergonomic lever).

The key difference is temperature control – choose Spray if you’re happy with room‑temperature water and Spark if you want adjustable warm and cool water.

How do I hook up a Hapbidets attachment to my water supply?

Our attachments connect to the same clean water that fills your toilet tank – never from the bowl. Installation is quick: shut off the water supply valve, flush to empty the tank, remove your toilet seat, and place your

Hapbidets bracket on the bowl. Attach the supplied T‑adapter to the tank’s water inlet, connect one hose to the water valve and the other to the bidet, and re‑install your seat.

For Spark, you’ll also connect a hose to your sink’s warm‑water line. Most installs take under ten minutes

Where does the warm water come from?

The Spark model mixes water from your bathroom’s hot‑water supply and cold‑water supply, so you can dial in a comfortable temperature.

It comes with a second hose and adapter to connect to the hot‑water line under your sink (the sink should be within about six feet of the toilet).

If you don’t have easy access to hot water, the bidet will still work as a cool‑water rinse until you connect the warm line.

Does the bidet use electricity?

No – both Spray and Spark attachments are completely non‑electric.

They rely on your home’s water pressure to create a gentle, effective spray, so there are no batteries, outlets or electrical parts to worry about

Can I remove and reinstall my bidet if I move?

Absolutely! Our attachments are meant to go with you.

To remove, simply turn off the water, disconnect the hoses and T‑adapter, and lift off the bracket. There’s no permanent plumbing work or glue, so you can uninstall and reinstall in minutes.

If you’re moving to a toilet with a different shape, check the compatibility guidelines below.

Where does a bidet get water from?

Hapbidets uses the same fresh water that comes out of your sink faucet.

A T‑adapter diverts a small portion of the water to a retractable nozzle that sprays upward to clean you.

There is no risk of backflow from the toilet bowl, and you control the spray with the twist or dial knob.

Is the water too cold with the Pure model?

Room‑temperature water may sound chilly, but many users find it surprisingly refreshing – think of it like a cool glass of water.

If you prefer a warmer rinse, choose the Spark model, which lets you mix warm water from the sink.

Does Hapbidets spray warm water or cold water?

Spray: Room‑temperature water only, controlled by you.
Spark: Adjustable from cool to warm thanks to its hot‑water connection and temperature dial

Do I still need toilet paper?

A quick pat dry is all most people need. Use a few squares of toilet paper or a soft towel to dry off.

Because water does the cleaning, you’ll use far less paper overall.

What makes Hapbidets different from other brands?

We designed Hapbidets to be beautiful, dependable and easy to live with. Both Spray and Spark attach in minutes without professional help.

Their minimalist design and choice of control styles (Twist or Dial) look great on any toilet. We stand behind our products with friendly support and a warranty, so you can shop with confidence.

How do I clean a Hapbidets attachment? Does the nozzle get gross?

Both models have a self‑cleaning nozzle – just turn the knob to the cleaning setting and water rinses over it.

For a deeper clean, gently pull down the nozzle and wipe it with an all‑purpose cleaner or mild soap.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, and remember to rinse the nozzle thoroughly before retracting it.

Setup & Installation

Do Hapbidets attachments fit any toilet seat?

Our attachments fit most standard round and elongated two‑piece toilets. Toilets with an unusual “French curve” shape may not provide enough flat space for the bracket.

Check your bowl shape and clearance; if you’re unsure, our compatibility guide can help.

How do I install my bidet attachment?

Great question.

Your bidet comes with a detailed instruction manual—or you can watch this video and become an expert in less than 10 minutes.

Is there a left‑handed bidet model?

At this time our control knobs are on the right side. Many left‑handed customers find the knob easy to reach because it sits close to the middle of the bowl.

If you’d like to operate the controls with your left hand, simply reach across; there’s no bulky side panel to get in the way.

Can Hapbidets be installed outside the United States and Canada?

Yes – our attachments use standard ⅜" fittings found in many countries. If your local plumbing uses a different size, you may need an adapter.

While we currently ship within the U.S. and Canada, you can still use the product internationally if you obtain the correct adapter.

Do Hapbidets fit elongated bowls?

Yes. Our bracket is adjustable to fit both elongated and round seats.

Measure the distance between the seat bolts and the inside edge of the bowl; if it matches typical round/elongated dimensions, our attachment should fit.

My toilet doesn’t provide easy access to the water supply – can I still install Hapbidets?

If you have a wall‑mounted or flushometer toilet that lacks a flexible hose, you can run the bidet off your sink’s water supply using our flushometer installation kit.

It includes longer hoses and adapters so you can connect to the sink’s cold (and hot, for Balance) water lines up to nine feet away.

Can I get virtual help with installation?

Yes! If you’re stuck, schedule a video chat with one of our bidet experts.

We’ll walk you through the installation step by step, no matter where your bathroom is located.

Health & Hygiene

Are bidets really better than using toilet paper?

Using a gentle stream of water cleans more thoroughly than smearing with dry paper.

Doctors note that wiping can cause irritation, tiny tears and residue, while a bidet leaves you fresher, faster and more hygienic.

You’ll still use a little paper to dry, but much less than before.

How are bidets better than wet wipes?

Wet wipes may feel soothing at first, but frequent use can break down the skin barrier, cause cracks and fissures, and even contribute to anal warts by spreading viruses.

They also clog plumbing and harm the environment. A bidet gives you the same clean feeling without chemicals or waste.

What are the harmful effects of toilet paper?

Toilet paper leaves behind microscopic residue that can travel forward and contribute to urinary tract or yeast infections, and excessive wiping can lead to hemorrhoids.

On a larger scale, the pulp and bleaching process used to make paper harms forests and waterways.

Switching to a bidet reduces both personal irritation and environmental impact.

Can I clean more than just my bottom with Hapbidets?

Yes – a bidet can be used for gentle feminine hygiene, staying fresh during menstruation or after sex, and even rinsing cloth diapers or the toilet bowl.

Using a bidet can reduce the risk of infections by washing away bacteria and residue.

As always, adjust the spray pressure to what feels comfortable.

Are bidets good for… you know… butt stuff?

If you engage in anal play or intercourse, a bidet is a convenient way to rinse the external area before and after.

Surgeons and sexual‑health experts recommend a quick rinse for cleanliness and comfort; just remember that our bidet is designed for external cleansing, not internal douching.

Troubleshooting

I have hard metal pipes – what should I do?

If your toilet connects to the wall with rigid metal piping, replace it with a flexible stainless‑steel hose.

This allows you to install the T‑adapter and prevents leaks. For Spark, also replace the warm‑water line from the sink with a flexible hose.

I can’t hook up the warm‑water connection – what do I do?

If your Spray model’s warm‑water hose can’t reach the sink, you can use the included cap to seal the warm‑water port and operate the attachment as a cool‑water Spray until you can connect to hot water.

Replacement caps are available if you misplace the original

My toilet seat is lifting up – what can I do?

Some seats sit flush against the bowl and may “raise” when a bidet is installed.

Try sliding the seat forward and the bidet backward so they don’t overlap.

If there’s still a gap, add rubber bumpers or spacers between the seat and bowl (about ⅜" inner diameter) to lift the seat slightly.

These inexpensive spacers are available at hardware stores.

Shipping, Returns & Warranty

How long does it take to ship my bidet?

Orders usually leave our warehouse within one business day. Delivery to the contiguous United States takes about 3–10 days, and shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada may take a few weeks.

You’ll receive confirmation and tracking information via email. We do our best to meet the estimated delivery window, but delays caused by the carrier are out of our control.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to the United States and Canada. Orders to Canada may incur additional shipping fees.

Due to import restrictions, our bamboo toilet paper and cleaning products are only available within the U.S.

What warranty do you offer?

Every Hapbidets attachment comes with a 1‑year limited warranty. If a part fails due to a manufacturing defect within twelve months of purchase, we’ll send replacement parts free of charge.

What is your return policy?

If you change your mind, you may return an unopened attachment within 30 days of purchase for store credit.

To be eligible, the security seal must still be intact, so please check compatibility before opening the box. Returns must be authorized through our returns portal – we cannot accept packages that arrive without authorization.

Once your return is inspected (7–10 business days), we’ll issue digital store credit minus a small processing fee, valid for five years. Sale items, discounted bundles, Toilet Paper, cleaning pads and other consumables are final sale.

How do I request a return?

Shoot us a message at help@hapbidets.com — we'll get back to you very quickly.

I received a wrong or missing item – what do I do?

Please contact us at help@hapbidets.com so we can correct the mistake.

We’ll send the right item or ship the missing part at no cost to you.

What kind of box does Hapbidets ship in? Is the packaging discreet?

We ship in eco‑friendly, branded packaging without an additional outer box.

The box displays our logo but does not include pricing or payment details, making it suitable for gifting.

Keep the seal intact if you think you might return it.
